Appointment of Richard Atkins – Executive Vice President – Fusion

Certus Solutions (UK) LLP, an Oracle Gold Partner, Oracle Approved Education Centre (OAEC) and leading provider of consultancy and software systems integration services to HR and Payroll Shared Services operations, is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Atkins as Executive Vice President with effect from 1 May 2012.
Richard will bring exceptional experience to Certus as it begins its expansion programme based upon the Oracle Fusion Applications product set, having started his career with Oracle Corporation in 1995 and was part of the implementation team that oversaw the deployment of Oracle HCM across Oracle Corporation’s EMEA operations.
Richard was also the Solution Architect for the former Department for Constitutional Affairs (DCA) implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite for HR and was subsequently responsible for the CHRimson Oracle HR implementation for the Ministry of Justice. Other major client engagements have included Reuters, LloydsTSB, Alcoa, and NHS - the largest HCM project of its kind worldwide where he was Solution Architect.
In April 2010 Richard joined Certus as Data Migration Solution Architect for the company’s provision of Systems Integration Services to Phase 1 of the Ministry of Justice Shared Services Programme which successfully saw 27,000 employees migrated from legacy HR systems to the existing National Offender Management Services Phoenix Platform in May 2011.

Certus Solutions acting as Systems Integrator have today extended its delivery of HR Case Management Application to National Offender Management Services (NOMS) for managing complex HR Case Work in a Shared Services operational environment. Certus previously created the bespoke system for the wider MoJ in 2011. The solution has been well received and its use has now been extended to cover 50,000 employees that comprise HM Prison Services and NOMS HQ. The system has been designed to work in a Shared Services operation, recognising the role the customer has to play in the supporting business processes.

Certus Solutions today successfully delivered Oracle R12 HCM; Payroll; iRecruitment and Employee and Management Self Service modules alongside a new Shared Service Centre operating offshore from Mumbai, India. Certus was responsible for all Solution Design, Technical Design, Build, Testing and Technical Training activities relating to the Shared Services operation and the underlying Oracle based technology stack. The technical solution also saw the successful deployment of Applaud Solutions - EmployeeCentre® and Self Service Absence Calendar solutions as part of the solution to create an enhanced end user experience. This was a highly complex implementation involving not only the setup of a new Shared Services operation but facilitated the re-implementation of Oracle R12 into an internally supported operation.
Successful Delivery – NOMS Organisation Restructure Technology Shared Services Project

The National Offender Management Service is an Executive Agency of the Ministry of Justice. Certus Solutions acting as Systems Integrator for MoJ Shared Services, oversaw the successful delivery of a new organisation wide pay and grading structures onto the existing Oracle E-Business Suite Phoenix system and general Shared Services readiness activities in support of NOMS Organisation Restructure Programme. The NOMS Organisation Restructure Programme is multi-million programme overseeing the restructuring of its HQ and establishment functions. As part of the engagement Certus are providing a range of services including Project Management; Solution Design; Technical Design Assurance; User Acceptance Testing; Payroll Data Assurance Testing; Business Change Support and Shared Services Readiness activities. Delivery of this major milestone allows the NOMS organisation to commence restructuring for new starters from 1st April 2012; and provides MoJ Shared Services support for the on-coming transformation.

Fusion applications training

Certus Solutions has been invited by Oracle Corporation to commence Fusion applications training with Oracle in Redwood, California, USA in February and March 2012. Certus will be the first UK partner consultancy to undergo such training in preparation to provide Fusion Apps training during 2012. Certus private and public training course schedule in R12 and Fusion Awareness and Applications for HR and Payroll will be announced in March 2012.

The Microsoft SQL-Server .Net 3.5 technical solution supports over 20+ complex HR service classes including grievance; long term sick; and employment tribunals.
