Certus Solutions and EmpIndex Ltd are pleased to announce that Mark Sweeny, Managing Director, was awarded medalist for the BCS & Computing IT Awards 2009 Project Manager of the Year for work undertaken on the Shared Services Phoenix Programme.
David Clarke, Chief Executive Officer of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, said: “This year’s Awards have been exceptional. I was delighted to take part in the judging day and witness firsthand the quality of the winners and medalists. To qualify as a finalist is terrific, to win is an absolutely fantastic achievement, and I offer my heartfelt congratulations to all those took part. They not only provide examples of best practice but also demonstrate how IT is enabling today’s information society from entertainment to healthcare, manufacturing to retail.”
Mark Sweeny comments “I am extremely proud to have been recognised by my peers within the industry in receiving this award. Again I would like to thank Parity Group Plc and the Directors of National Offender Management Services for nominating me as well as the project teams who have worked with me in delivering one of the most successful Shared Services programmes undertaken”.
Certus Solutions, through Catalyst approved supplier Parity Group Plc, is currently engaged by NOMS in overseeing the delivery of the HR Directorate’s current business plan for Shared Services 2009-2010.
Mark’s new business venture – EmpIndex Ltd, will be show casing its leading edge Employee Value Dynamics solution at the CIPD Conference in Manchester in 17-19 November 2009.
Certus Solutions Director selected as a finalist for the BCS & Computing IT Awards

Certus Solutions are pleased to announce that Mark Sweeny, Managing Director, has been selected as a finalist for the BCS & Computing IT Awards 2009 Project Manager of the Year. Parity Group Plc and the Directors of the Ministry of Justice – National Offender Management Services (NOMS) have jointly nominated Mark for work undertaken on the Shared Services Phoenix Programme 2004-2009.
The UK IT Industry Awards see a new venture between BCS and Computing, merging the BCS IT Industry Awards and the Computing Awards for Excellence to create one platform for the entire profession to celebrate best practice, innovation and excellence.
Robin Booth, Publishing Director of Computing comments: “The Awards are a showcase for the very best in the UK IT industry and those who have been announced as finalists can be very proud of their outstanding achievement.
